Single Source – Designed, Engineered, Manufactured, Delivered
Design your own building today—
MBI has developed a state of the art configurator to assist you in designing your custom building. This software program was built on the extensive 10 year history that MBI carries with engineering firms and customer relationships within the petrochemical industry. Within the configurator, MBI has pre-designed the most widely used restrooms, break rooms, offices, conference rooms, and locker rooms, as well as, other widely used interior details. The use of this configurator allows MBI to provide a complete set of approval drawings within 2 weeks of submittal; again saving you time on the overall process.
You can schedule an appointment to design your building using this new software. You can schedule an in-person session with a regional salesperson, or, if your schedule is an issue, you can schedule an online session with one of our sales engineers and have your quote within 24 hours. Engineered—
Evaluating the over 1000 units it has produced to date, MBI has concluded on eleven different structural footprints that would be able to be used in 95% of its customers projects. These footprints range from a single 12x40, 480 sq.ft. module, to a 12 module 5,760sq.ft. complex. MBI then took these eleven different footprints and engineered them to meet a blast resistant criteria (8psi, 200ms, Medium Damage), that would encompass a large majority of its customers needs. In doing so, MBI
has eliminated the 4 to 6 week engineering time needed for a typical
project, as well as, helped to protect its customers from extensive
engineering costs. These buildings are not only blast resistance, but are
also engineered to provide the necessary protection against projectiles and
flying debris, an obvious threat in the event of an explosion. These
unparalleled levels of safety along with full
Mechanical
Integrity documentation are why customers who consider these
products as critical safety equipment and lines of defense chose MBI over
our competition.
Manufacturing and Delivery—
MBI has also reformed its manufacturing and procurement processes in order to decrease overall production time; utilizing vendor managed inventories (VMI) on our standard materials of construction, including standard long lead items. Standard industry delivery schedules for custom buildings range from 12-14 weeks after approved drawings. With BlastPLEX, MBI is able to offer customizable buildings in 8 weeks from approved drawings, allowing our customers to be operational 4 to 6 weeks earlier; within the industries we serve, this time could equate to substantial profits.
Mechanically Fastened Flexibility— Use It… Disconnect It… and Relocate It...
Along with the benefits of time and money savings, BlastPLEX products are much more flexible than typical modular blast resistant buildings. Utilizing its patented fastening system, BlastPLEX can form mechanically fastened multi-module complexes. This provides customers with the flexibility to use a complex for the current project, then disconnect, reconfigure and relocate it for your next project.
